Goat milk has become a popular addition to many dogs’ and cats’ bowls, and for good reason. It’s an easy way to add extra moisture, flavor, and nutrients to a pet’s regular diet. Depending on the product you choose, it may also contain probiotics and other ingredients designed to support digestive health.
The best part? You don’t have to completely change what your pet eats to use it.
Goat milk naturally contains protein, fats, vitamins and minerals, so it brings more to the bowl than flavor alone. Depending on the recipe, pet-specific goat milk products may also include additional ingredients such as pumpkin, berries, turmeric, coconut, kelp or other functional ingredients. All of which gives you a little flexibility when choosing one for your pet.

That doesn’t mean goat milk isn’t useful. It can be a great way to make meals more exciting, increase moisture, or add a little digestive support depending on the product. But it shouldn’t have to fill nutritional gaps in your pet’s main diet.
