Pro Plan uses Corn and Soybean Meal plus by-products to increase their protein levels. Dogs' stomachs are designed to absorb and process real meat proteins.

Fromm Gold is a Wisconsin family-owned company that cost 23 cents less per pound and has a much better ingredient panel with a touch more protein from real meat. No corn, wheat, or soy in any Fromm pet foods.

NutriSource is a Minnesota family-owned company that costs about the same and does not have any corn, wheat, or soy with similar protein levels but from real meat. No by-products!

Most National Brands, like Purina Pro Plan, use fillers, such as Wheat, Corn, & Soybean Meal to add calories. These fillers are some of the main causes of allergens in dogs and provide little nutrition to our pups. Major brands are not required to disclose what is in Poultry By-Product, and most of the time it is what is leftover after all the good stuff has been used.
